Since the last Newsletter Charlotte (Tawny Owls daughter) has left Brownies and will be enrolled as a Guide in our Guide Unit on Friday. Our four Tweenies, Harley, Laura, Samantha and Sarah will be enrolled early in July. 

Visit to The Guide Heritage Centre - Saturday 8th July 

Please remember to return the consent forms and cash/cheque by next week for this trip. To help with planning, if your daughter is unable to come with us I would be grateful if you could still inform me. 

Water Safety Badge 

As you may be aware the Brownies are working towards this badge. Today they will be bringing an information sheet home which covers all that we have been talking about during the past two meetings. I would be grateful if you could encourage your daughter to look at the sheet, and possibly talk over various topics in preparation for testing next week. Testing, on 28th June, will be by qualified lifesavers. 

Sea Creatures Party - Wednesday 12th July 

This will be our last meeting before the summer holidays so we thought that a theme party loosely based on our water safety would be a good idea. The girls can either: 

1. Wear fancy dress - based on any sea creature; 
2. Wear clothing with pictures of any sea creatures on it; 
3. Wear blue/green clothing - based on sea colours. 

There will be prizes for the best fancy dress. 

We will play games and have party food and drink, which we will provide. We will not collect subs on this evening but every Brownie will need to bring �1.00 to cover the cost of food, drink, sweets, prizes etc. 

Brownie Holiday Club 

Please see separate letter and consent form. 

For those of you who have joined us since last summer, the Brownie Holiday Club allows us to meet together for 2 whole days, preparing our own food and eating together. By meeting for complete days we have a lot more time to do arts and craft based work, have fun, sing and play games! Many of the Brownies are able to take various badges including Cooks, Artist, Craft, Collector etc. 

Webb Ivory Fundraising Catalogue 

In September we will be distributing Webb Ivory catalogues for us all to stock up for Christmas! The catalogues contain low priced cards, paper, decorations, toys and gifts, etc. All commission earned will go to support pack funds. This year we need to replace our owl and possibly the toadstool, which are both looking rather battered. These are the same owl and toadstool that were being used over 30 years ago when I was a Brownie in this pack! Don't buy now, wait until September!
